ASSIGNMENT:

Make or depict an enclosure for the body, a place where it can reside and which displays or connotes some aspects of the different constructs of the body.

REQUIREMENTS:

Lifesize (in terms of your body) work in your choice media 2D, 3D or video.
If it is sculpture your body must fit into the sculpture, for 2D media the size must correspond to your body.

CONSIDERATIONS:

1. different positions or actions of the body connoting different aspects of self
2. use of materials to connote idea, to correspond to content and form
3. using the representation of the space around the body rather than the body itself to describe, or locate the body
4. the relation of the artwork to your body and to the viewer

Other considerations:
5. the relation of dwellings or housing or other enclosures (such as cars, telephone booths, airplanes, graves, etc.) to the environment and the culture, and of course to how they define the self, the body
6. consider how you distinguish yourself as a person through clothes, adornment, language, behaviour, possessions
